Kiss A Caregiver Day: November 23, 2004

Any one of us could very possibly face the reality of a family member
living with a chronic illness. The chronic illness does not just impact the patient--the impact on us, the family members, will be tremendous.

According 1996 study done by the American Society of Aging,
almost 100 million people in the United States live with one or more
chronic conditions. Over the next twenty-five years, this number
is expected to grow to 134 million Americans.

As a result, the number of family caregivers will increase dramatically.

The Center for Family Caregivers, a non-profit organization,
is dedicated to providing support and educational materials
to these family caregivers.
